Dear Neighbor,

When I first ran for public office in 2008, I told you I was the right person for the job because I was the fiscal and social conservative who would effectively communicate our ideals and values in Denver.  Serving in my first term, I believe those words now more than ever.  As a freshman member of the minority party, I rely on my communication skills daily to positively affect policy for House District 15, El Paso County, and the state of Colorado.  I would very much appreciate your support to continue what we have started.

Since taking office I quickly confirmed legislating is a team sport.  Simply put, I know I have to work with others to pass good legislation, kill bad legislation, and fix bad legislation, when appropriate.  That means working with both sides of the aisle while standing strong for our Republican ideals and values.  As I take on more of a leadership role in the House, I will continue using those communication skills to impact policy on an even wider scale.

Be accessible, approachable, and listen to constituents to ensure the needs and concerns of the people are placed ahead of any personal agendas
     

Constantly strive to “do the right thing” instead of constantly striving to be right
    

Take personal responsibility for my words, actions, and abilities as a member of the Colorado General Assembly
